Double 6x4 Aviary
All our aviaries are made from colorbond and BHP wire (Waratah) & galvanised 25 ml steel tubing.
These are quality materials which are strong, attractive and weatherproof. The wire used is either 12.5 x 12.5, or 25 x 12.5. Heavy duty wire is also available for larger birds (with strong beaks!)
This is a double 6x4 aviary suitable for cockatiels, budgies and most medium sized birds
2 Hexes and a 6x4
The hexagonal aviary is a more decorative model and traditionally forms a focal point in the garden.
It is an attractive aviary with six sides (two or three made with colorbond) the rest with wire. It is capped with a peaked roof.
Hexagonals are suitable for pet birds or a pair of medium sized birds, they are not recommended for breeding.
Custom Built Aviary
All types of aviaries are available. This is a custom built aviary sitting on a cement block. Because of the large size, this aviary is suitable for all types of birds. It would look wonderful as a planted aviary too, full of different coloured finches.
If planting an aviary, omit the concrete floor of course!
NB For larger birds such as Sulphur Crests, heavy duty wire is available
Patio Aviary
The patio aviary is ideal for - you guessed it, the patio! Ideal for keeping pet birds, it can also be used for breeding 1 pair of birds. A nest box can be easily installed.
All aviaries can be fitted with feed doors and wire feed trays at no extra cost.
Many colours are available, several shades of green, beige, cream, wheat and red. Some other colours are subject to availability.
Hexagonal Aviary
This is one of the more popular hexagonals, the 5 foot hexagonal. This style is also available as a 6 foot hexagonal. The kickplate around the bottom is an optional extra.
We use mainly 12.5 x 12.5 wire although other types of wire are available on request.
This aviary has been built using Heritage Red colorbond. Red is a popular colour for hexagonals as it makes a great focal point for a back yard or garden.
Most aviaries are placed either on cement slabs or pavers or even straight on the ground. Small stones can also make a suitable base.
However cement is the easiest to clean and is mouse proof.
Pallet Aviary
The compact "pallet aviary" measures 110 x 110 cm (1800 high) and is popular for small patios or back gardens.
Called the pallet aviary because it fits comfotably on a wooden pallet, this cage is suitable for budgies, cockatiels, peach faces. galahs and other small to medium hand raised birds. Also available in heavy duty mesh
This aviary is made out of Rivergum colorbond, other colours are available.
Suspended Aviaries
Although this may look like a bank of aviaries, it's actually 6 single suspended aviaries in a row.
Suspended aviaries can be built to any size. Smaller ones can be combined as double or triple suspendeds.
Suspended aviaries are a good option for those on water restrictions as they are self cleaning, most of the droppings and waste food will fall through the wire bottom.
They can be built with a full colorbond roof or half colorbond & half wire so the birds can have some exposure to the weather.

Suspended aviaries are highly recommended for hygiene as the used food scraps and droppings fall through the wire floor. They are, for this reason, very easily maintained.
We also build chicken runs, cat runs (keep out of trouble with the local council!) Guinea pig cages and others.
Most of these aviaries can be customized to the bird owner's specifications.
